CAPI is a non-profit corporation. It is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors made up of a licensed childcare provider, businesspersons and professional people. The Board of Directors together with a professional staff, are available to develop support service programs and specialized training.

In recognition of the demonstrated relationship between good nutrition and health, and the long-term consequences of early nutrition on subsequent growth and development, the Child & Adult Care Food Program offers lifetime benefits. The pre-school years are those when food consumption patterns and habits are established that may determine the quality of the diet in later life.

APPLY, for participation in USDA Child & Adult Care Food Program before your license has been approved. In so doing, providers are automatically eligible for CACFP benefits when the DHS notifies Minnesota Department of Children, Families and Learning that you are approved by the state agency.
